Budokon Academy Red Belt General Guidelines

Please read through these guidelines carefully. They provide all of the answers you need regarding the details of the training program. 


 

Program Training Requirements

Attendance Requirements
In order to comply with the requirements set forth by Budokon International and Budokon DC Academy to be eligible for the Budokon Red Belt Exam you need to attend and participate in the following:

 Classes

• 96 Budokon Academy Hours ( classes will be held every Saturday afternoon Tuesday and Thursday eve.) All Budokon Academy classes taught by Budokon Regional Directors
• 100 Personal Practice hours (this can be a combination of Budokon/ Marital Arts classes offered everyday of the week at Stroga.)
  • 12 Budokon Philosophy hours
•  6 Modules: Each module requires a minimum of 2 hours of training 6 Pillars of the Budokon System

• Homework Assignments
  • Each month’s syllabus will have homework assignments in addition to the reading and writing assignments. Please be sure to refer to the Section marked as Homework.
•  Written Exam
  • There will be a written exam the last weekend of the training that will broadly cover what you have learned throughout the program.
• Belt Testing Overview
  • To advance in belt rank, students in the Budokon Academy Extended Program must successfully pass a belt test at the end of each 200 hour program, with Kancho Cameron Shayne. We will be holding a DC Academy weekend at STROGA with Kancho August 25th. Should a student not feel ready to test at the end of the 200 hour program, they may postpone their test to log extra training hours.
  Financial Commitment

• The total cost of the program is $179.00 per month (this includes full STROGA membership to any of the scheduled classes, in addition to the Budokon Academy Training classes and program.)
• In addition DC Local Academy Students receive 50% off any AP University weekend with Kancho Cameron Shayne. The cost for Local Academy students is 199$.
